Uttarakhand New Chief Minister : Tirath Singh Rawat

Tirath Singh Rawat took oath as Uttarakhand’s new CM on March 10, 2021.

He became 9th chief minister of this state.

He was selected for the position after a day of resignation of the former CM of the state Trivendra Singh Rawat.

Rawat is a BJP MP and was the party chief in Uttarakhand in 2013- 15 and also an MLA from the state in past.

Currently, he is a national secretary of BJP.

The news of new CM announced by outgoing chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat after the meeting of BJP legislature party, which lasted around 30 minutes.

The party meeting was held at the BJP office on Balbir Road.

Our Prime Minister Modi via Twitter extended his best wishes to Rawat and showed confidence that his leadership will continue the new heights of progress in in this state.
